HACKER ATTACK ON NUREMBERG AIRPORT WEBSITE

Nuremberg - The website of Nuremberg Airport apparently became the target of hackers on Thursday.

Albrecht Dürer Airport Nuremberg is Bavaria's second largest airport.
A spokesman said that the airport noticed around 8:10 a.m. that it was not accessible.

According to initial findings, it was probably an attack in which the website received so many requests in a very short time that it went down due to overload.

The spokesman said that the problems had no effect on air traffic in Nuremberg.

The website is separated from the other airport systems.

Could it be that Germany is slowly becoming the target of large-scale Hacker attacks? Until now, Germany has not been very interested in cyber security. What can be seen is a significant disregard for cyber security among Germans.

As can be observed in Eastern countries, where nomen omen cyber security is on a higher level in Germany, one can get the impression that German companies and state institutions do not want to invest in cyber security because it is too expensive. Could it be that the recent hacking attacks were to change that?
